About me...
I was born and raised in Woodstock, NB. After moving away after high school to the city of Fredericton, NB, I spent almost a decade living in Fredericton before returning home after the birth of our first child.

I am a wife, a mother of two humans, and two dogs, an avid volunteer in our community.

I value my family & friends and great adventures both near and far. I love the New England Patriots and our past beloved quarterback Tom Brady. Although I strive for a good work-life balance, I have adopted a "work hard, play hard" strategy. I will always commit the time that is needed for my work, but I make sure to block off time for much needed getaways to unwind with my family & friends.

I have a diverse working history that has taken me from Project Coordinator, to Project Manager, to Executive Director, with lots of splashes of construction management and interior design. I used to oversee a multimillion dollar budget in the ever evolving and challenging hotel accommodation sector. I was responsible for overseeing the general operations of multiple hotels, including developing policies and procedures, overseeing human resource issues, and constantly finding ways to improve efficiencies and costs, while ensuring the guest experience remains top notch.

I served on the board of the Meduxnekeag River Association for over a decade, and served for years as secretary for the Fredericton Hotel Association, and almost two years on the Tourism Levy Committee for the City of Fredericton. I'm proud to be serving as your current Mayor, elected and serving since January 2023.

Why me?
After careful consideration, having represented our community on Town Council, and as Mayor since January of 2023, I have decided to reoffer and will continue to commit my time and skillset to the Mayor role full time. At 49 years of age this year, I have a diverse background and skillset that I truly believe is required of the Mayor role at this moment in time. I have a strong pulse on what it's like to raise children in our community, what it's like to operate a small business, invest in a business, and employ people in our community. With the continued challenges and changes due to municipal reform, it is going to require a leader who will ask tough questions, be willing to have tough conversations, be upfront and honest with the community, and have the skills to help find the solutions. At the root, is my desire to see this community be prosperous and prepared for the challenges that lie ahead in every community.
Please consider re-electing me as your Mayor.
What my former employees would say:
"Firm, but fair, and caring. She cares about the staff
as much as she cares about the bottom line."
What my friends would say:
"She's the glue."
What the Jones family would say:
"Let's go BLUE!"
What my parents would say:
"Trina is a natural leader, strong, smart, loyal, kind-
hearted, and generous to a fault. We couldn't be
more proud."
What my husband would say:
"I support you 100% again, but I'm still not kissing babies."
Something Surprising:
I still cry when I re-watch Frozen 2.
Last Fortune I kept from a Fortune Cookie:
Avoid agreeing with people merely to keep peace.

What I wish I had more time for:
Woodworking. During Covid I took the opportunity to take the
carpentry course at NBCC as the classroom portion was
online and I could work and do school. It was a chance to
learn and I loved every minute of it, as challenging as it was to
manage both. Someday... I will get back to that.
Favorite Pastime:
Saturday night crib night with the Six.
What keeps me up at night:
Whether my children's generation is strong enough to survive
what we are leaving them. Good thing I have lots of
confidence in them and hope our generation can still affect
change.
